Coconut Oil:  Deeply moisturizing and thought to aid in treating various skin problems.

Cocoa and Shea Butter:  High in vitamin/mineral content.  Reduces skin dryness and improves elasticity.

About sodium hydroxide (lye):  All true soap is made when a chemical reaction occurs (saponification) between sodium hydroxide and the oils/butters being mixed together.  This process is complete after about 48 hours, at which point, no sodium hydroxide remains in the soap.  Even though sodium hydroxide is not in the end product, it is listed, as it is used to make the soap.
